Out with the Old...

In with the shit, as I alway used to say. Payton and Fox are gone, gone to the Celtics, who are now possibly worse than us. It's the first smart move I've seen from Kulpchak, and probably the last. I'm going to root for the Heat to at least finish higher than the Lakers this next season. And considering that another woman has come forward with allegations of groping, methinks the Kobester probably did it. How do you like them apples?

Does Anyone Realize?

That Jose Lima is the luckiest pitcher on the face of the earth, as well as Ishitty, and Perez and Weaver are among the unluckiest? Frightening. And yes I will continue to make short, turgid entries on this blog, because there's really nothing to write about extensively, except that the Dodgers are going to cruise into the playoffs, and if Perez remains healthy, probably make it to the NLCS. I think Perez might run into some trouble later but we'll see.

Also, the evil Boston media is recommending that the Red Sox go after Beltre. Just what we need, a super budget team of losers taking our best player. We need to sign Beltre to a seven year 100 million dollar deal NOW. Backload the goddamn thing, so that all the money comes in his later years of playing, because dumbasses Green and Dreifort take an enormous portion of the budget next year, but after that they're gone. Since incomes in baseball are guaranteed, it's a no-brainer. What team can promise Beltre that much money, that doesn't already have an amazing third baseman? None I can think of...

Payroll Commitments for Next Year

40.28 million, down from 46.23 million. Just thought you should know. We saved 6.15 million dollars dumping Martin and Encarnacion.

Look at this Shit!

Here's an amazing article about what Depodesta has done for the Dodgers. By dumping Roberts, Lo Duca, Mota, and Martin, and not re-signing Nomo, Shuey, and Hundley, the Dodgers are going to save as much as 30 million dollars, maybe more. No one has talked about this. The fans bitch and moan about letting Lo Duca go, then they forget that Beltre, Gagne, and Perez need to be re-signed as well.

Dreifort ends it

When you do one game statistical analysis like Plashke and others have done, you need to realize that the season is a bit longer. Dreifort did what he was supposed to do today, and we aren't in second place, and our season is not over. The fact that the vast majority of sports writers not only don't understand statistics more complex that HR, RBI, and H, and don't care to learn, does this country a disservice and is indicative of the stupidity our country and society is very proud of. Many third world nations have superior education systems to ours. If you don't believe me, check out the people of Orange County, and the state of Alabama.
Today's LA Times

What a swan song for Ross Newhan. He was the only one of the writers to "get" the entire trade process the Dodgers went through. Too bad he's retiring, and we'll be left with pieces of shit Plashke and Simers. The latter is absolutely hated by rational people everywhere, and yet still has a job. Pathetic.
